As much as it’s good to be be with familiar friends this format is awkward to adapt to for now. Thank you for putting in the work to keep the gang together. I truly appreciate your effort.
jamnjon: I was trying to respond to you. Obviously I haven’t figured out how to use this new format yet

I truly appreciate your effort. jamnjon: I was trying to respond to you. Obviously I haven’t figured out how to use this new format yet There's not really a "reply" feature but the closest thing is to quote the comment you're replying to. There's definitely some downsides to this forum format (no live updating, harder to have a side conversation in a thread) though I think there are some upsides as well (anyone can create a topic and post about it, we can create specifically labelled threads for conversations). This is fairly similar to forums I frequented about 20 years ago so there will be features it's missing, but that's what you're probably going to get from a free prebuilt forum. Of course the biggest thing this is missing is the professional writers which I can't do anything about.

I don't know if this has been suggested but I clicked on Desktop on my phone and it's a much easier read and you can respond much easier. It doesn't, based on what I can tell, allows you to see posts in real time. You have to refresh each time

On another note, a small example of what better players and coaching can do. Stefan Noesen has 27 points and 7 PP goals for Carolina

Rod was awesome as a player and definitely the culture there has been set high by him, his staff, and Ron Francis definitely played a role in all of it.

Worked hard and I liked in his brief tenure here how he called out Lucic and the refs on running/injuring guys.

That was a great tank loss. Sharks played great and should feel good about their game, hustle, and the fact that second goal should have not counted and first one probably should not have counted. Sharks have played well lately and had some results. I think Eyssimont, while not really a top six forward, has had something to do with bolstering things so we have two lines that are credible. I don't mind the missed calls. It happens. And in this case, the refs are directly helping the tank. What I really mind are not calling or reviewing things like the direct head shot to Kahkonen last game in the blue paint that has taken him out. NHL only pays inconsistent lip service to protecting from concussions. They care much more about penalties that will evolve the game to higher scoring and thus more viewership and revenue. Get your stick parallel to the ice and it's a penalty if it even slightly impedes scoring. Direct head shot to Kahko or Simek- they don't care during the game or after. Also, interesting article on Kahko and goalie coaches on nbc if you missed it: www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/sharks/sharks-kaapo-kahkonen-needs-complete-structural-rebuild-mike-mckenna-says

Arizona with 2 points tonight puts the Sharks in the #4 spot. Good job, Desert Dogs! FINALLY! I feel like we should've slipped to fourth a couple weeks ago. Now if only ANA and/or CHI would stop losing and gain some ground on us for crying out loud. And Vancouver too--they've started their tank in earnest. I sure wish we'd get on with our sell-off before we end up with another middling pick because we waited too long and Meier/EK65 willed us to seven more unnecessary victories by themselves. :/
