The goaltending in the Western Conference is so iffy it's wide open who gets to the Final.

What are your guys thoughts on if I should move the page jumping thing above the quick reply. I kept refreshing the page and didn't realize it had moved onto the third page.

Let the meltdown commence! As much as I feel like SJ isn't going to let it happen in this game, I can equally see it actually happening. It would be so like them to win today...

Methinks SJ will not be shorking away their lead. Quinn should run this same lineup out again and see if today was just a fluke.

Good for Reims to get a shutout. And who would have thunk that the GWG was scored by a Seattle player?

So do you guys think this is better? (the position of the page change thing) I could also adjust it so only the page change thing is there, not the whole gray box.

Had to watch the last few minutes on DVR; Book Club meeting. Teams lose games for a variety of reasons but what a lack of effort by Seattle. In the playoffs that's called a sweep

Okay, I’m gonna say it, I still think Gregor has potential. Aside from his speed, I’ve thought at least this season that he has some decent puck poise, stick handling, physicality, and yes, even shot. He doesn’t especially dangle or go into corners and win puck battles. It’s more like he combines his speed and acceleration with things like little stutter steps or placing the puck in the defender’s triangle, and then just beelines it toward the net, creating chances. Obviously, he has missed the net a lot, but there have been many chances where he’s super close. From a statistical analysis perspective, it’s not like he’s had tons of opportunity (i.e., a low N). I could EASILY imagine being a young player, feeling nervous, deferring to more senior players, and then a string of bad luck that messes with your head. If memory serves, three or so seasons ago, Gregor was a halfway decent scorer in the AHL.
Come on Noah, prove your skeptics wrong and start potting some of these! Stunning that tonight’s was only his FOURTH of the season!

I don't have a strong feeling that Gregor will turn into a better scorer but just to continue your point: -his lack of finish really stands out because of his speed which gives him more breakaways or pseudo-breakaways than other players. -in a lot of those situations, I think by the time he is free of the D, he is in too tight to the goalie. This is by memory and I welcome someone with a better memory or heatmaps etc.
But yeah both his goal and his post shots looked good. Or, he scored because... Martin Jones.

I totally agree on both points. I’ve definitely observed that he’ll be in tight on some of his partials. I think a player with his skill who is less desperate to score might make a move. He seems to just try to get off a quick shot every time. But, watching him stick handle at his speed against other skaters tells me he is in fact capable of making a move against the goalie. And to further note the similarities of wavelengths that we’re on, I don’t have great confidence at all that Gregor will turn it around. But I’m still not entirely jaded with his lack of finish up to this point, and believe that he can turn it around. Will he? And just as intriguing to me, what would his ceiling would be? If he could salvage his god awful shot percentage, maybe a 15-20 goal guy on a pretty decent third line?

Jones, can't win with him, can't lose without him. On the serious side, three of those goals were stoppable. Cooch's was classic Jones. That only surprise about that brain fart on Cooch's (I can't think of what else to call it) was that it was half way through the game and not in the first minute.
We're 4th in point% now. I can't see us catching the Hawks, BJ's or Ducks. Their goal differential is abominable, so much so that a team would really have to try to lose to get down that low. By that I mean that the guys on the ice would have to dump games -- which would (and should) end their careers. By way of tanking, I think the way to go is for GMMG to bring up the most average guys on the Cuda and let them flounder around (couldn't resist the pun).

ESPN ticker stat. Sharks are 5-0 when they score 3+ goals in the second period. I'd question if there's a team that's lost a game doing that. Pretty rare
